For stud walls the steel casing that is fitted with the FireBrake ensures that the product closes inwards (in masonry walls the wall itself allows this process to happen). The 125mm length of the product is sufficient to prevent it falling through a stud wall once the duct has melted away. Fire wraps are not suitable for use within stud walls.
