To demonstrate the effectiveness of the FireBrake, independent comparison tests were carried out at BRE. These illustrate the suitability of the product for ventilation ducting and clearly show advantages over intumesecent fire collars and wraps. Five typical installations were tested and are numbered on the video.

1. A typical wrap installed around all four sides of the duct and fitted flush with the non-fire side of the block wall.
2. A typical collar installed on the face of the non-fire side of the block wall.
3. Two typical wraps fitted around all four sides of the duct and fitted flush with both sides of the block wall.
4. The Domus FireBrake
5. Two typical collars fitted to the face of both sides of the block wall.
